    The FontAgent® application window is divided into three columns, and also includes a toolbar at the top of the window. You can customize the interface in a few seconds to meet your personal preferences or the requirements of your current workflow.

    Main Viewer – top center pane

    • View and compare fonts in their native typefaces in the Table, Image or Tile View.
    • Adjust the sizes of the top and bottom viewers using the horizontal divider.

    Bottom Viewer – bottom center pane

    The Font Viewer appears at the bottom center of the FontAgent app window.

    • Click Select a font in the Main (top) Viewer and the bottom viewer changes its focus to the selected font.
    • Type Ctrl-B to hide and show the Bottom Viewer.
    • Select the PlayerCompareGlyphs or Tags and Comments tab.
    • In the Player View, choose between ABC123, Paragraph, Waterfall and custom text modes.

    Sets Sidebar – left column

    • Type Ctrl-L to hide and show the Sets Sidebar on the left side of the main window.
    • Adjust the width of the left sidebar using the vertical divider.
    • The blue number to the right of each set shows the number of fonts in the set.
    • Select a set to display its font contents in the Main Window.

    Properties Sidebar – right column

    • Type Ctrl-R to hide and show the Properties Sidebar.
    • The sidebar displays the properties of fonts and sets, showing file information, style details, ratings, activation state, set membership information, as well as foundry information.
    • Adjust the width of the right sidebar using the vertical divider.
    • Select the Font or Set tab in the right sidebar to change the displayed metadata to the currently chosen font or set.

    A ribbon of menu commands appears when you click one of the commands in the FontAgent menu. To hide and show the menu ribbon, click the up-arrow or down-arrow disclosure icon that appears on the far right side of the menubar.

    Displaying and Hiding Panes

    You can adjust the sizes of panes in the FontAgent interface by dragging their divider bars. You can also control the display of panes in the FontAgent application window by typing keyboard shortcuts or by selecting commands in the FontAgent menu ribbon.

    To hide and display the following panes in the FontAgent interface, use these commands and keystroke shortcuts.

    Type Ctrl-1 through Ctrl-7 to display the Table, List, Tiles, Player, Compare, Glyph and Tags and Comments Views.
